Presently, there are four airlines serving the Laredo International Airport: Conquest, Continental Express, American Eagle, and Taesa Airlines.
Tourism and travel have traditionally been one of the largest sectors of Laredo's economy making it consistent with the rest of the State of Texas. According to the Texas Department of Commerce, tourism is the second largest industry in the state. Webb County was ranked in the top 6 percent among Texas counties for travel expenditures in payroll, employment, state tax receipts and local tax receipts.
It is important to note that because the number of rooms in Laredo have increased substantially during the 1980's, the actual number of rooms occupied in 1993 - 1994 reflect the highest ever for the City. The recent construction of two new hotels and the upcoming completion of third will add 350+ rooms to the Laredo market.
There are 29 hotels/motels in our city with a total of 2,821 rooms.
