In addition to luggage, a foreign individual and or his/her family may cross articles and objects duty free depending upon the value of merchandise being crossed:

  • With a value of up to $300.00 U.S. dollars per person if he/she arrives to Nuevo Laredo via boat or plane.

  • With a value of up to $50.00 U.S. dollars per person if the individual arrives by airplane and if the exit airport is in the free zone, or if the foreign city borders with the Mexican border.

    Additionaly, a person has the right to acquire merchandise with a value of up to $300.00 U.S. dollars from the free zone which needs to Mexican Consulate in Laredo, Texas (210)723-6360
